Praise him for his mighty deeds

praise him according to his excellent greatness!

- Psalm 150:2

About Us

I became involved with Cru in my junior year at university and really found a community there. Cru has played a huge role in my growth spiritually and in equipping me in sharing my faith with others and learning to live missionally. I began leading a Bible study group with a peers and realized I had a passion for leading students and having discipleship. God put on my heart the desire to pursue this passion and work for Cru and since then I'm excited to see how God will use me for his kingdom.

Ewa as a university student was involved in CRU in Krakow, Poland. After graduation she decided to go on expedition project with Cru for one year in Eastern Europe. During this year she met people from Macedonia that later invited her to come to summer mission project where we met. We got married in 2017 and since then we live and serve in Skopje, Macedonia. We have two boys Adam (4) and Jan (2).

About Macedonia

Macedonia is a small, landlocked mountainous European country situated in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula and it borders other countries in the peninsula—Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, and Kosovo. Occupying a central geographical position in the Balkans, it is a transportation and communications crossroad linking Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Macedonia is a land of sunshine, lakes, valleys and mountains. Macedonia withdrew peacefully from Yugoslavia in 1991 after decades of communist rule. It is a country of 2 million people from various ethnic groups, notably one third are Muslim out of which the majority are Albanians. The majority are Macedonians who have Orthodox Christian background but generally do not know or experience a relationship with God. The economy and unemployment are typically the two greatest problems. The official language is Macedonian, written in a Cyrillic script.

Our Ministry

Our mission is to build spiritual movements everywhere until everyone knows someone who truly follows Christ. God has enabled our ministry to help raise up 26 national workers. Five teams reaching out to Macedonians and Albanians in 10 cities with major universities and population across Macedonia and reaching out to Balkan and beyond. The teams are focusing on reaching the students, young professionals and leaders in the society, families through multiplying home groups. Our Pioneering team helps reaching out to Serbia, south Europe and beyond. We want to see how God will continue to use our students after graduation, and make them a blessing in the places they will serve local churches, family, work place.

Our ministry focuses heavily on evangelism and discipleship. While many of the students have a “religious background” in the Orthodox churches they know very little about it. Because of this heritage they are willing to talk about Christ and often have bits of the truth but have no one to help them understand it. God is using us to help them understand the Gospel and place their faith in Christ. On the other hand, after decades of communism many would call themselves atheists and deny the truth of the Gospel.

WHO?

Who will be impacted and changed by this ministry? College students make up just a tiny percentage of the world's population, but in many ways, they are the most powerful slice of humanity on earth. They are and will be the leaders of every facet of society. Reaching the campus today is a key to reaching the world tomorrow. Eighteen to twenty-five-year-olds are making the most important decisions of their life. If we can help them embrace Jesus Christ and mentor them in the right direction, it could set the course of their entire lives.

WHAT?

What is the strategy to accomplish the vision? Win, build and send. Will be spending time in the dorms, universities meeting students. Building relationships, sharing the gospel, starting small-group Bible studies, and hopefully leading them to Christ. Then we will establish them in their faith and equip them to be leaders and laborers for Christ.

Join Our Team

In order to reach the future leaders of Macedonia for Christ we need a Mission Team of ministry partners. If you have a heart for the lost people in Macedonia and the Balkans, your are more than invited to join us. Please pray about this and tell us how God is leading you. As a ministry partner, we will pray for each other and Ewa and I will be sending your a prayer requsts and first hand updates from the ministry field here.

Financial needs

Cru has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses. Like many other mission organizations, it depends upon the consistent financial support of concerned individuals and churches. Ideally a staff member’s team consists of people from his own country. Unfortunately, this is not possible in Macedonia. There are so few believers right now and the economy is still stabilizing, so most people have very low income. In addition, believers have not yet fully embraced the biblical principles of giving. This means our staff must locate financial resources outside of their home countries. Each staff couple needs about $3,000/mo.to stay in the ministry.
